Jim had a very quiet day today with very few visitors and received some much needed rest.
Char and Jim got a chance to talk with his doctor in depth.
The doctor commented on how remarkably well Jim is doing. The Doctor said Jim will be in ICU for at least another week.
His Doctor also stated if you look at his medical file from day 1 to day 8 it looks like they were mixed up with another patient as it does not seem possible that Jim should have progressed this well with coming in with such a massive brain bleed.
Another miracle is that the vasospasms have dissipated significantly. Jim is half way through the 14 day period of the danger stroke zone.
The doctor told Jim if he could bottle what he had that was healing him, he and Jim would be multi billionaires sitting on a beach doing nothing. He said if you figure out what "that" is you let me know. Jim commented to Char he would have some one on one time with the doctor so he could talk with him about this "bottle of stuff" that he wants. Leave it Jim to never miss a chance to share the gospel and possibly change a life!!
Sometime this week Physical Therapy will be in to see him as Jim wants to get out of bed! The doctor stated this just doesn't seem possible and this is not normal to be this far progressed as most patients are still unconscious!

Lord I ask you to present an opportunity for Jim to discuss the "bottle of stuff" with the doctor and anyone else that you have for Jim to talk to. Lord what an honor it is to be able to witness this, and I thank you so much for it. I ask you to continue to be with Jim and his family Lord, continue to bless them, to comfort them, and to shield them from the enemy who just wants to use this opportunity for anything but your glory Lord. God I thank you for being able to see a small portion of your wonderful glory. We have seen people pray from all over the world Lord and have no idea what effect this is having on others across the globe. Lord what an honor for Jim to be used at this level Lord. I am sure he has no idea how his willingness might be effecting so many people Lord. I ask you to continue to be with the medical staff, give them wisdom, knowledge, and what they need to make the right decisions for Jim's care. Lord I ask you to be with Jim and his family. I ask you to continue to comfort them, and surround them with your warmth, your love, and allow them to feel and bask in your glory during this time of need Lord. Lord I ask you to be with Jim so he can feel your love and presence. This is a hard time for him and I ask you to be with his body as it heals, and his mind as it takes in all that has happened.I ask that you continue to give him time to rest, as I am sure when this is over, his testimony will be screamed from the mountain tops. We love you so much Lord and thank you for your presence, your glory, and the wonderful miracles your doing in Jim. Thank you for loving us Lord.

ReplyDeleteGod woke me up out of a dead sleep at 3am this morning with an urgent pressing to pray for Jim's health. While praying I saw an image in my mind of Jim standing straight and tall (with a stubble-covered head!), so I prayed that God would heal Jim's body and infuse him with His strength and power, and to make this vision a reality.
Lord I pray that through this and all things we glorify Your name, Amen.

ReplyDeleteAs Char told us this detailed encounter at the hospital yesterday, you should have seen her face light up! She is so thrilled. I think we are all so happy that God has seen fit to answer our prayers in the way we wanted! God has such big plans for you and your family! There are so many things God is doing outside your event but as a result of you event. I can't even wrap my head around all of it, but its awesome to see our God working overtime! Satan may have thought he got us, but instead he woke up a hornets nest of God's people. Watch out Satan! God always wins!
Lovin watching you get better Jim! Can't wait to have Char and girls bring you home!

Hey Jim, Started packing this week and found myself thinking of you and the impact of your recovery that God provided! I am so happy! Not that I was doubting him, but I wondered "Why Jim" Godly and good, would give you the shirt off his back, so many plans, etc. Now I know what God was doing, He was proving He exists, blesses and heals and calms all of those who simply comes to Him! I PRAISE HIM AND THANK HIM FOR HIS HEALING HANDS FOR YOUR WORK IS NOT DONE YET AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS THAT I EVEN DOUBTED HIM AT ALL! I am sorry that we cannot have one more meal together before I leave for PA, but I pray that maybe I could meet up with you in Blue Bell or anytime I am in Michigan of course I will contact you and Char. You guys have been my rock and anytime I needed you, you were always there. I will treasure our friendship always.

Great to see you last night, Jim! Great things are happening Downriver and you are definitely in God's plans. He let Satan take you to the brink, but even that only strengthened your faith and brought so many others along with you on the path to righteousness. On a different note, before you know it, we'll be chowing on Chicken & Broccoli and Wonton soup! :)
