Monday's Update

Today the doctors plan to challenge Jim's brain by increasing pressure to the cranium. They are hoping his brain will re-absorb the fluid it creates instead of draining it all out. The doctors warned this may cause Jim to have headaches and confusion. A physical therapist will be in Jim's room later today to start exercising him. He has been wanting to get out of bed but needs the physical therapy before that can happen. Jim's appetite is back to normal.

This afternoon Jim's doctor told him he is doing remarkable well considering the massive bleed that he had when he first came into the ICU. God answers prayers!

  1. Dear God,
I thank you again for Jim, his family, and all the medical staff on his case. Lord I lift all of them up to you today and ask you to put them in your wonderful care. God I ask you to be with Jim today as he starts his PT and as the doctors increase the pressure. You know the human body better than anyone because...well, you created it. Lord I ask you to be with Jim when they do this so that he can handle the pressure. Be with him so his headaches are manageable, so that his hunger stays in tack. Please be with him so that the confusion that he goes through will be short lived and that this will be the beginning of more wonderful blessings put on Jim because of you. I again ask you to be with the medical staff so they can use more knowledge, wisdom, and discernment than they have ever had. I ask you to bless them with those things so that the decisions they make can be those that will help Jim the most. I ask that you surround Jim, Char and the rest of the family with your love and presence like never before Lord. I ask that you pull them all up and hold them with your wonderful glory. Lord allow them to feel your presence like they never have and just bask in your wonderful being. Lord we all love Jim, and I ask you to be with him so that he can have the recovery that will glorify you like none other!
Thank you for saving us Lord, thank you for your love, your presence, and your tender mercy.
We pray this today in Jesus name,
    Amen

  4. Wow ... what a journey this has been already. God has revealed himself to us all over and over again throughout this process ... and not just in Jim's recovery (which in itself has been amazing). When I stood on the stage on Sunday and looked out, there were Char and Trisha smiling up at me ... it took all I had not to run down and wrap them in a (nother) hug ...

Thank You, Lord, for continuing to awe and amaze us ....

  5. I am so awe struck by God's mercy and grace. Jim is truly faithful, and unceasing in his praise and hornor to the all mighty Father who has given him strength to rebuke Satan in his folly. All honor, glory, and praise to you dear Father who has heard our cry, exstended his merciful hand, and eased our brother's suffering. Heavenly Father you continue to reveal yourself in your love and mercy, you wipe away our fear and doubt and replace it with faith and hope. By faith we understand allowing our suffering no matter how big or small prepares us for battle and we will forever honor and praise you as we stand in the gap with our sheild and sword. Amen.

Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Give heed the the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I will pray. Psalm 5:1-2

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know thst the testing of you faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete not lacking anything. James 1:2-4

  6. Jim is one of God's disciples and he is in God's hands. I am convinced that this is to show the unbeliever how powerful the love of God is. Jim has always been such a good friend and I am honored to know him and his family! He and Char never hesitate to help those in need or just be there to listen. I have no doubt that God will provide him a full recovery! Love ya Jim!
