Friday Morning Update

This morning Jim ate a few bites of scrambled eggs, a bite of bacon, a few sips of coffee and OJ. He still has a bad head and neck ache but he is sitting up more in bed. He is able to hold a conversation for a few minutes but he is still very groggy.
Today one of the nurses came in to say hi and Jim said "you look familiar". The nurse told him he was his nurse on Tuesday so this means Jim's short term memory is getting better!
He wants to get out of bed but he has to wait until Physical Therapy can evaluate him. As of 9 this morning his doctor said he is doing very well! We will update more on any new developments and his progress later this evening.

Thank you for all your prayers!

  2. Jim,

I knew from the first day this happened that God had a plan in all this. Once you are completely better and learn all God is using you for, you will be amazed. You are a special man. Greg and I love you and cannot wait to sit next to you and Char again at church. We will miss you on Sunday. You have a special way of brightening our day every time we see you.
Each day since Sunday is an amazing journey of God strengthening all of our faith by what he is doing in your healing process. You always tell Greg and I that you wanna be like us. Well we wanna be like you. Your personality, character and love for people blow us away. Everyone you meet can see Jesus through you.

I love you my friend. Cindy

  4. Jim (aka. Tree),

You are and amazing man of God, this is evidenced by the fruit you bear, even in sickness your wisdom and integrity shine like a bright light in a dark passage way, you are an inspiration to all of us. The out-pouring of support from Southpointer's is further proof you sew great seed, God has a wonderful plan for you brother and He will continue to work through you in a mighty way. We continue to pray that His mercy and grace will shower upon you, Char and your family, and that you will experience full restoration so you may continue to strengthen your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 107:1

  5. Daddy, I'm so unbelievably proud of you!
I was talking to Cindy & Greg last night about how amazing you are and how you've changed my life, and I can't tell you how much I can't WAIT for God to fully recover you. This is NO coincidence at all! This is God using you to work his way through me and other people, just like me, who know they need God, but won't let him in. And finally; FINALLY he used you because he knew how much of a wonderful man you are to touch people like us, and still be able to stay as strong as you've been staying! I'm so excited for you to come home. I'm going to wait on you HAND & FOOT! (& yes, I HATE FEET! But I don't even care! lol) I Love You so much daddy. You and Mom are SO precious to me. You both are my angels. <3

I Love You So Much! =)
    Love, Trisha

God Bless You and Everyone who is So Lucky to share their life with you! :)

  6. HEY JIM - A lot of amazing things have happened since Sunday ... but really - should any of us have been amazed? We serve an incredible, unbeatable, unshakeable God. The best part of this whole thing is thinking about how the enemy is "kicking the dirt" at how his plan has been foiled. HA!
