Post Surgery Update

Today Jim got his 60 some staples out of his head and two stitches. They said that it healed up very nicely and he can start to get it wet now but with no direct water hitting it for a few weeks. It wasn't very painful at all and he feels so much better now that they're out.

Next appointment is in January to see the surgeon and determine what the next step will be.

Thanks for the love, cards, prayers, calls, and continuous support! We are tremendously blessed!

  1. Dear God,
I thank you for the tremendous blessings that we have been witnessing over the last several months. I thank you for the strength and faith of the Olson family. I thank you for the leadership of Jim not only before this, but during this. He was an incredible example to watch and one that truly brought honor and glory to your name. Lord I ask you to continue to bless that family for their faithfulness and love for you. Lord we love you because your first loved us, but I ask you to bless that whole family just like you did Job after he went through his trials. Lord grant them a double blessing and allow them your gifts in ways that they cannot even begin to imagine. Lord I thank you for the love that was shown to them, but more importantly for the example from them of how to love when we are going through one of the worst times in our lives. Lord Jim, Char and their whole family has been an amazing blessing for this whole church, but and incredible example to everyone on how to "count it all joy" as your word tells us to do.
Lord thank you, and we love you!!
In the name above all names, the name of our precious Lord and Savior,
    Jesus name,
    Amen

  2. And she said "go Jimmy go"... but of course you, are tooooooo young to remember that song. Not withstanding the fact it has absolutely NOTHING to do with your recovery. But a lot of things pop into my head and out of my mouth that mean nothing to anybody. But I am so glad to hear that you're doing well. And THAT means something! And you can play it for Char here!!
